Why do they do it?

Now that the weather has turned warm, alot of people that don't normally walk their dogs think it's a great idea to take them out. The poor thing is often fat, and certainly unfit, and they just can't cope with the heat. Mine are out early in the morning and they don't get quite as far when it's warm, but these people are out in the hot afternoon, I worry, I really do.

I suppose we'll get a flurry of newspaper reports about dogs being left in cars now, how stupid can people be.
I'm going to print of some thing on the pc to leave under peoples wipers, pointing out the dangers of leaving dogs in cars.

Its so sad to see the dogs running about in the heat when they cannot tolerate it.

If this weather keeps up I have to take Star out early in the morning or late at night if I want to take her on a long walk. She is not very good in the heat. Our back garden is concrete slabs and gets no sun until night, so is brilliant for the really hot days.

It is turning really hot here in New Brunswick Canada. Two weeks ago I was walking Zoi all bundled up winter gear and now I am going out in short sleeves. Hardley saw anyone else out with their dogs all winter and now they are eveywhere, fat dogs waddling all over the place. :smt018
