in the microwave.

we usually freeze our bread when we first buy it then thaw it when we need it. it usually lasts upto about a week and a half before it starts going hard

All bread goes straight in the deep freeze, except what we want to eat on day of purchase, then we take a loaf out as we need it, or if pre-sliced just the number of slices needed, a quick few minutes in the microwave at about 30% and voila we have (nearly) fresh bread everyday works for us

With my greedy lot it is gone in two days so I don't have a clue how long it would last if they left it alone
