Dog Kennel Ideas

I am an A-Level DT student and I am creating my very own Dog Kennel.

And I need some ideas!

Here are some questions which I very much would like you to ask for me to put in my coursework!

Thankyou

1. What style/form would the Dog Kennel take?

2. What function would it serve?

3. What would you expect from a good kennel?

4. What must it include?

5. What performance requirements do you need from the product?

6. Which material would be most suited for a dog kennel?

7. What size and weight would be most for the dog kennel?

8. Is safety the most important factor of the product?

9. What price would you pay for a dog kennel?

tbh it doesn`t sound like you`ve done any research yourself - you`re expecting us to provide it!
So I`ll ask you back -

Is this for domestic or commercial use?
Will you include an exercise area?
What is your target market?
How will your design differ from what is already on offer?
Have you looked at kennels currently on the market?
Have you looked at how to cost a unit?

1) It would probably be wood
2) It would serve to protect the dog from the elements, keep warm etc
3) I would expect it to look good, stand up to the weather, provide value for money
4) room to lie down?
5) It would serve to protect the dog from the elements, keep warm etc
6) Wood, plastic
7) Every dog is different so you would require various sizes. Not too heavy so it can be moved
I would hope for safety as a given.. looks and cost would also factor in.

Good luck with your project

1) It would be wood with a large metal run.

2) provide a safe, warm and dry space to leave a dog where it wouldn't feel too cooped up.

3) I'd expect it to be excellent quality and last a very, very long time.

4) an 'inside' bed space and an outside run. As well as maybe a way to feed/water dogs without necessarily having to enter?

5) for it to last, stay dry

6) Wood and metal

7) depends on the target market, those buying for sheepdogs will have different requirements to those buying for working GSDs etc.

That the dogs couldn't get out of their own accord!

9) what i'd pay would always depend on the finished article
