I have to state, categorically, that if my daughter, my grandchildren, or my dogs were being physically hurt by someone, then I would defend them with my last breath, and deal with the consequences later. I think most humans, and all animals would react in the same way.

You shouldn't. I would hope when the law is used correctly it would never happen but I would see that as preferable to being driven to doing something unacceptable, futile and illegal. Who would want to continue living in the same area after you had escalated the issue.

As much as i loathe bullys and violence-sometimes you have to fight fire with fire and i am behind you on this Jackie.If the Police are not prepared to put a stop to this ****** frightening Sam and he wont listen to reason-then he ought to be taught a lesson.

and if it didn't make any difference wether you ignored this person or spoke to them, and they were inches from your face and threatening you, and say you had a 4 year old in your arms. what would you do then?
