Economy gardening

These Lobelia and Pansies are self seeded from last year;

And these Geraniums were planted 3 years ago and keep coming back year after year with just a bit of dead heading.


Unfortunately the seagulls have been eating the strawberries so we have had to rig up some netting

They look lovely, it's great when things reappear unexpectedly, I have some really pretty scented Nemesia that reappear year after year, although I don't think me and Geraniums are compatible to be honest as I always manage to kill them.

I guess it is quite mild where you are Nippy, I plant Lobelia most years but have never had it self seed.

The strawberries look good, I have some in pots which are doing well too

Just beautiful.

I save seed each year from flowers and vegetables. Heritage varieties. grow potatoes from supermarket bags

I am embarrassed to admit that my yards only grow weeds. Well I do have three fig trees in the side yard but I cannot get to them. Someone else does though as even though they fig proliferously, the figs somehow vanish as soon as they ripen, and I cannot count the palm trees as my gardening efforts either!

I have quite a lot of Lobelia and it self seeds everywhere

Look closely at the lawn Malka, there are far more weeds than grass! But hey at least it is green and a weed is only a plant growing in the wrong place

Some geraniums have survived from last year and am going to replant them from the pots into the flowerbed this year
Just got to get this archway up next week, then I can work from there.
