Thanks All! Now I've gotta start worrying about all that packing coz we've lived here 25 years Although when we had the loft conversion done of course, I decluttered the house, but Dave is a massive "hoarder" and his workshop is like the Tardis let alone the garage, so I dread to think!

Watch out Jenny, I'm heading down your way........

Found a fantastic small holding in Somerset too, only £175K BUt, although there's a static on there, the Council refused planning for it, so they wouldn't allow a barn conversion on the building that's for sure, and it has a fantastic workshop so Dave could work from home, plus loads of land and woodland, absolutely ideal, but we'd have nowhere to bladdy live!!!!

Dave has now decided he will probably sell up the workshop, so it would give us a lot more scope about where we can move to and he would start all over again and work from home with a big enough workshop, so that's what I'll be aiming for now. I will feel a lot, lot happier living in some type of business set up, rather than just downsizing to a smaller place with dog walking on my doorstep because in all honestly, Dave's not getting any younger, he's totally stressed out with his workshop and the staff, and I can see me looking for a job in my retirement which I just don't want to do further on down the road, so it makes sense to buy something which I can work from and he can work from to keep us in the luxury I've kind of got accustomed to over the past 10 years or so.

I'm all for living in our static but of course, with the dogs, it wouldn't be easy to move out for 2 months of the year when the park is closed

Lots of kennels, stables and catteries out there on the market, quite cheap, but too much like hard work for my liking, if only I was 20 years younger I'm all for the easier life now, holiday lets are good!

Great news H - fingers crossed it all goes through.

You gonna build your own grand design? It's meant to be alot cheaper to build your own

Thought about it Azz, but as Dave said, the cost of the land, then the build which sometimes runs out of control (watched too many Grand Designs!) no money left to get a business off the ground. I'd really like one of those German builds, where they come over and put it up for you in a week, all mod cons, fantastic, but also very pricey!

Thanks Manyana, it's really exciting, especially when you've lived in the same place for 25 years!
