Wait until she learns to pick the raspberries off the canes herself. My mother's Springer munches up and down each cane eating only the ripe ones. It will save you a job picking them!

As for your tomatos, they look delicious too. Ours have gone mad, there's masses of them. But only a couple have turned red so far, hopefully we'll get enough sun to help ripen the rest of them.
All you people with tons of tomatoes, I haven't got nearly as many as usual

If they don't ripen, you can make some delicious green tomato chutney

Nippy, we used some of the green tommys in our first attempt at chutney-making, and hate to brag, but...............it's bloomin' lovely!
Plan on varying the recipe for the next lot, yum yum!!

I know, in bad years when they don't ripen I have made some. Luverly

Funny that this thread has come back up, I have just watched Peps, sitting in front of hubby, drooling, because he had a bowl of raspberries after his tea!
