I remember it with the orange cellophane and, as a child, anything that was not water or milk was a luxury and I remember I loved it on the VERY rare occasions we tasted when I was ill (mainly because I was never ill and we could not afford lucozade).

Years later I tried it, I spat it straight out!

I do remember that it was marketed as being something that you gave to people that were ill, although I can't remember what the tag line was, something about "lifting you up when you're feeling down " perhaps?

you would have to work your way through many other cocktails , to make sure your really drunk before trying Tia Maria and lucozade together sounds hideous

Yes I remember.

Another blast from the past was Dandelion & Burdock with a floater (ice cream) , it was our Sunday treat.
