Lynn, I did exactly that with Diez, she was found to have a mass on her spleen that hadn't spread, she was 13 and opted for removal....I owed her at least the chance. Hoping all goes well for Dillon and huge hugs to you and Gorden too xx

Thanks griff.
We have to do what's best don't we ? He can't be expected to walk on it even with a dressing for to much longer and we wanted to know the opinion of our vet to know how to proceed with it and what she said left no option in our eyes it needs to be removed.

Good afternoon all.

So sorry to hear about Dillon Lynn, but I'd opt for the op too. We owe it to them to give them every chance xxx

Thanks Chris yes we do and it might turn out to benign yet, he isn't off his food at all.
So hopefully he will have it removed no problems and be more comfortable.

Feeling a little overwhelmed and worried though.

Lynn, better to know than leave it as you say, you need to know plus Dillon may be more comfortable walking afterwards. Kota has always been a lumpy dog....I have lost count of the number she has had removed and there's only been one that turned out to be a sarcoma...now I have to get every lump removed just in case.
My lovely fencer has just been...looked really really well and incredibly smart in his uniform, says he will get back to me in a couple of weeks as he is off to Butlins with his kids bless him

Glad the fencer turned up griff. I quite like a man in a uniform to.

Yes we have to know if it is anything to worry about or not either way hoping it makes walking easier for him even if only on one leg.
I am sincerely hoping as he still has a good appetite it is a benign lump, but both of us are preparing ourselves for some not so good news given his age and breed and cancer is the most likely thing to take them when older.

I am used to seeing daz in his old fire brigade t-shirts, first time he has come round straight off duty, firefighters look very smart!
Lynn, I am keeping everything crossed for a benign result
