It would be a good thing for her to get the flat, but knowing the problems I had getting Gary in, I'm not holding my breath.
The one very distinct advantage she has is that Gary is the only deaf person in there so I'm pretty sure that will go in her favour as social interactions are one of the criteria and the criteria that went against Gary a couple of times because they didn't know if he'd be able to fit in with his lack of communication. As it happens, he's made quite a few new good hearing friends amongst the residents who all tend to look out for him with him being younger than they are
