Good morning everyone, this heat is getting to me I'm afraid it's too much. I hope you are all ok and the poor dogs are not feeling too much as well.

Have a good day don't get burnt and stay safe and well. God bless.

I love the heat, I am now sleeping using a hot water bottle filled with cold water and popped in the fridge for a couple of hours..... it's lovely
I don't walk my dogs in the heat, we have a garden and no dog ever died from missing a walk, I have to take Molly out today as Steve has a long shift, I will be soaking her on the doorstep before we head off and to be honest, she does her business quickly so I will most likely just let her do that and fetch her back.

Morning Moyra, griff and all who follow.
Still hot here again today. Dillon only does short walks now anyway and we go out before the sun comes up properly and gets hot but even then his legs can only do short distances now.
As for us well it's hot but we're coping ok.
We are popping out later to post a parcel to Michael and Maca and a card to Maca for her Birthday end of the month have to get a card for Gorden's Aunt and then pop to a grden centre to see if we can see anything for the garden as a pressie from us to us for our Anniversary last week.
We will shut the curtains in the living room and leave two fans on for Dillon.

griff hope Molly enjoys her brief walk.
Moyra hoping it cools a down a bit for you soon.

Keep safe everyone.

Good morning all

Been out with Gert and all good she is getting one walk at about 5.30-5,45 so back before the sun almost she loves the stream because its private land all is good (the farmer has let me walk there for over 40 years now) I went to school with his daughter. So dead lucky there.

Today we will potter mostly indoors as done my gardening this morning. Lots of people I know or know of getting pinged but happy to see lots of people wearing masks in shops.

Have a good day all.

Good morning Moyra, Kelly, Lynn, Kazz and all who follow

Hope Molly enjoys her short walk and the puddles you will no doubt give her.

Out early with Teazle then cleaned my car and Bens. I only cleaned his as I got it wet from doing mine so thought might as well finish the job Made some meat pies, one for lunch and the rest in the freezer. Have also picked and blanched some runnner beans so now coffee time

Hope all are well. Take care.

Sounds bliss Kazz. Forget where you said you live but it must be nice to have a paddle in water for Gert. Do you get tempted? Off to have chips and scampi for lunch. Just as well it is cool at the moment or it would be to warm with the oven on. I am trying to only eat when I am hungry. That way I cut out the snacks inbetween. Have a good day all.

Huge relief...Steve's app has a typo..... it's 10 hour shift not 12 hours a day for 7 days
He has given me my instructions... anyone would think I have never had a dog before lol
Brenda, I am doing tonnes of salad at the moment, I am going to make a salad and cous cous and take it and have dinner with Molly may...I am not getting home until 7pm so it's getting a bit difficult with my tummy issues eating late on
Sue, we have 3 cars here you can do
Kazz, if I got up at that time, my neighbour would definitely moan, the dogs get excited going out and as she doesn't do "noise" I am sure I would be reported for something, funny how it's o.k for them to be noisy though.
Lynn, my vet always said if the dog wants a little potter and can manage, all good, if they don't want to go... that's fine too

Good afternoon all.

Much nicer this morning. Lovely cool breeze and cooler temperature.

Rosie wasn't well yesterday. Unfortunately, my lad dropped some of the chicken out of his burger and Rosie ate it before I could get to pick it up. She's highly allergic to chicken so as you can imagine she had an uncomfortable afternoon and evening. Gave her an anti histamine and kept her cooled down. She was still sick three or four times, bless her. She's absolutely fine today thank heavens.

I live in Birmingham and yes it is bliss having the freedom as long as I pick up after Gert (and all previous) and don't trample the crops/close the gates etc etc etc I am welcome

Yes I am in this weather especially sitting with my toes feet occasionally whole legs in the water what's good is his water comes from an underground spring so clean its not deep but its perfect for what it is he also digs out with the tractor/digger thing a few deep troughs of earth so his dogs and Gert have somewhere to cool off a nice man and his sons are equally as nice. His daughter passed away 32 years ago of breast cancer when I see them (not that often can go for months without seeing anyone) as I go different times/ days we on occasion have a chat about Joy.

I occasionally use a couple of secure dog fields one being Bosty fields recommended by my friend Dawn and the other Paw Pounders recommended by my neighbour who has a deerhound
