Good afternoon all.

Busy again in town. Warm, but with a nice breeze.

Gary came with us today. Rather than a breakfast with us outside the cafe, he likes to have a chicken mayo burger outside McD's. It's getting busier now so we have made him aware that we may not always get in and he's OK with that because he says he'll have a normal burger in the cafe at home if we can't get a table

Rosie is struggling a bit when going into the car coming home even with Dave going ahead and firing up the air con so I've pulled out the cooling mat to put on the seat tomorrow to see how that goes

Kazz, yes still got my little car. 22 years old and passed her MOT without any trouble. My only problem is I cannot drive her until I renew my driving licence. I am going for my Field Vision test on the 2nd August just have to pray I shall pass as I had trouble with my eyes since new year. Now on some Revison capsules which seem to be helping.

Have a good day just coming on to rain.

Have lots of ice and put in a towel and let the dog lie on it. Don't what ever you do wet a towel and lay it over the dog as when it dries out it traps the heat on the dogs fur. Try and get some of those shade things that fit the windows to keep the car cool. It is difficult in this weather. I much prefer the winter and spring months. Not a hot lover.

Maybe a cool mat ? Must say though Ollie never entertained one and neither does Dillon.
Dillon's breeder recommended a wet towel for them to lie on and I have used a wet towel for Dillon to. I make sure it never dries out when on him and always give his fur time to dry off before end of the day otherwise the wet can get trapped and cause hot spots which thankfully Dillon has never suffered with.
Also if able shave a little fur from under front arm pits a bit off the tummy to not to much though.
A fan a floor one if possible and or one of the portable air coolers you fill a tank with water and put ice cubes and blocks in it.

I keep her underbelly very short. It's only when we first get in the car coming home that she starts to pant. Not excessively, but enough for her to be uncomfortable. Within 5 minutes the air con is working better and she slowly stops. I've stuck the cool mat under the front seat and I'll put that on the seat tomorrow and see how that goes.

Hadn't thought about window shades, but sound like a fair idea. I'll see what I can find
