Feeding Grams??

i own 2 staffys, one male, one female....the male (Rocky) is 4 months old, and the female Barney is 9 months old

right they are both fed on Eukanuba puppy and junior medium breed..

Barney 9 month old, 14kg = 165 grams a day....
Rocky 4 month old, 10kg = 385 grams a day...

i dont get it, while my little puppy is stuffing his face, the bigger older barney is starving????

feeding chart available here

Hmmm that sounds and looks strange.

Have you considered changing Barney to adult food? I would say about 6 months of age would be a good time to change to adult food....

Luna was fed about 300 grams a day of Eukanuba large breed....

The point is that a pup of 4 months will be growing faster than a pup of 9 months. However I would suggest changing your older dog onto adult ...I always change nime about 5-6 months as I don't like to feed too much protien

I am glad i read this as cassey is still on puppy food, she is nearly 6 months old. Do you have to introduce it gradually if its the same make or dosent it realy matter??????

I am sure they cant be wrong ...

Probably also that younger pup would be fed more often, therefore would need more??

I would trust Eukanuba, or phone the customercare number

alot of replies going the way of adult food...

so i will put Barney on adult food
as long as the bowls a bit fuller she will be really pleased...... hahaha

i have thought about switching to another brand, too..... i know alot of people on here dont like Eukanuba.
the other day, my brother brought his staffy round and the first thing i noticed was the shiny soft coat, it felt really smooth, compared to my dogs.....
he feeds his on Butchers complete??

Its not so much the food, more the firm who make the food.....

Luna looked great on Eukanuba
