Morning Moyra, Sue and all who follow.
Lovely day gain here to.
Walked Dillon having breakfast in a bit waiting on the croissants. Gorden has to go out to get new lock as it seems the one we have on the new back gate has broken, so we have to use the front door for the moment when taking Dillon out. Hopefully fixed later today other than that a quiet relaxing day.

Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well today.

'morning Moyra, Sue, Lynn, Griff and all who follow

Will go back and check recent threads, just wanted to say hope all is well in your world.

Saw the Macmillan consultant on Thursday, my lung cancer is a fairly common type so treatment is known.

It's either chemotherapy or imunotherapy. He wants to start me on the chemo route which will be three sessions each three weeks apart starting July 8th.

Don't have to stay overnight, it's all done on an 'outpatient' basis, takes all day 'tho and of course many side effects, 'tho not everyone gets all of them.

If I take my oxygen with me I can still get out for a while and walk the dogs. Bruno is gradually settling down 'tho I think it will be a bit longer before he's really looking at us as his 'forever' home, not surprising really since he's had quite a few homes in his life. Xena is such a joy, and has changed since Bruno came, she now loves her walks and is so excited to be able to run around in the forrest.

Will try to look in latter today after I've done a catch up

Harvey, good luck with the chemo, if I can answer any questions for you I will try my best, I will say, keep a close eye on yourself, any different cough, fever etc get to the Dr or A&E if needs be and don't ignore sore throats. Big hugs to you xx

Good afternoon all.

Overcast at first this morning but the sun eventually came out to play.

We made a very different sort of 'complaint' this morning. The cafe where we go had decided that Dave needed feeding up after his op so they were piling on extras. We've had to tell them today, that, while we appreciate the gesture, we are having to throw all the extras away and more besides because his new regime has to be little and often. I bet that's a first for them. After all, who complains about getting extra of anything?

Harvey, keep that chin up. I know quite a few people who have been in your position and are now cancer free and enjoying life. The treatment isn't nice, but for many, many people it is highly successful. Everything crossed that you are one of the many success cases x

Bit of an achy ankle today so it's a nice, long, hot soak in the tub for me this afternoon. It usually does the trick

Afternoon all had a nice day pottering in the garden and gate fixed. Not the lock at all the lock was slightly misaligned and had moved the post slightly.
All sorted and now working so fingers crossed it continues.

Harvey sorry t hear of the diagnosis glad it's treatable and hope the chemo goes well for you and you are soon clear.
Chris nice gesture of the cafe but as you say not helpful for Dave.
Hope the ankle feels better soon.

Harvey, they have all said it. Look after yourself because not only does your wife need you but two big dogs too. I am glad they are looking after you so you can still get out with Bruno and Xena, would love to see photos of them if you ever get a chance.

Looking forward to a nice Spag Bog in a little while. Steve worked this morning and is very tired. He laughed when I said I was going on a health drive. I have to be more careful with my diet of pills for a start. I am wondering how many I can dispense with. 14 is to many to have to take every morning. I wonder what would happen if I left off some of them? Take care everyone and have a good afternoon. God bless.
