I stopped worrying re ticks years ago. If there is infection by the time we see the tick it is too late... and they drop off by themselves after three days.hey are full .. Far easier than pulling them out ... Met someone who though there were two types, the tiny ones and the big fat ones! My lot have had hundreds of them here in Ireland and never an infection.
