Dogs are amazing!

We have 14 dogs at the minute.
We sadly lost our 17 year old dog last month to a brain tumour.
We have recently taken in 5 dogs, one a street dog and 2 who have lived outdoors for all of their lives ( one is 13 and one is 16) and 2 Staffies.
Each one has gone through massive upheaval and change, but amazingly have settled in, know the routine and are pretty much house trained, we have the odd accident but it's mainly the 16 year old collie.
It never ceases to amaze me how adaptable dogs are, even at an old age.

Thank you.
Our dogs are all rescue and range from a Scottish terrier to a street dog who looks to be mainly Greek mountain shepherd. They all see to get on well, I do believe neutering has certainly helped make this possible but I find it incredible how they accept a new dog within a couple of days. I guess it may be that they are used to new dogs arriving and are adaptable because of this.

I think a lot of that is down to how you interact with them.

I've previously said on this forum that you get back many times over what you put in.

I know how one can feel if he lost his loving pet because I had gone through the situation. While we all respond to loss differently, the level of grief you experience will often depend on factors such as your age and personality, the age of your pet, and the circumstances of their death. Generally, the more significant your pet was to you, the more intense the emotional pain you’ll feel.

Sorry for the loss sir, you have lost your 17 years dog which is a huge loss but also it pleasures that you accept other dogs living in streets and now with you and you love them, great.
