'evening all

Have been feeling rotten today, tired and no energy at all. But we had to take Xena to the vets so I made the effort

Mostly good news, the X-ray showed her heart is in good condition, right shape, size etc.

She has some 'fluffiness' on her lungs which the vet thinks is most likely an infection so she has been given anti-biotics for that.

The Frumiside she is on already is reducing the fluid levels around her heart and to a lesser extent on the stomach so she has more of those to take every day.

Blood tests were all negative. The lung X-rays are being sent to a specialist laboritory to make sure they are OK, we'll get the results by next Monday.

Vet seemed happy with her general condition and provided there are no surprises on the lung X-ray we can relax a bit now

Holme fen Harvey. Its situated around Whittlesea, Pondersbridge and not far from Ramsey. if you google it there is some fascinating historic information about it.
There are posts there that indicate how high the water was before it was drained many years ago.
Lots of Fungi grows there and it is the biggest silver birch nature reserve in the country.

Sorry you are feeling unwell at the moment hoping it soon passes. Good news about Xena.

Good news on the Xena front, but sorry you are feeling so unwell, Harvey. You too Moyra. Getting doctor's appointments are more than difficult these days.

Gary's mouth is fine now Kelly. What caused the abscess is a mystery for now, but I hope it's gone for good

Lynn - Thanks, it sounds very much like Knettishall Heath which is our favorite walking place. There's lots of Silver Birch and a huge fenced inner area where dogs must be 'on lead' April to July due to ground nesting birds, also an outer area where dogs can be 'off lead' anytime. I will Google it tomorrow.
