Island pics--Hawaii

Ok well I guess better late than never. Here are a few pictures that I have taken around the Island. Hope you like!!


This picture was taken on Hickam Beach. If you look off into the distance you should be able to see where the water darkens a little. Up to that point, you can walk with the water only being knee level, after that you better hold your breath because it's a major drop!! Also, there have been hammerheads spotted at times




















The scene where Adam Sandler kisses Drew Barrymore in the dream sequence was filmed in this little cove from the movie 50 First Dates. It's called Eternity Beach




















This picture was taken at Hickam Beach too and you can clearly see the drop line. In the distance you see Diamond Head and the buildings you see are Waikiki Beach and downtown area.





















This is Sandy Beach a famous surf spot where the waves can be very intense...and high!!





















This is a shot of Rabbit Island. Sorry don't know too much about it other than its name.




















This picture was taken at Kaneohe USMC base. It's not a very good picture as we were on the road but I wanted to get a shot of the statue.




















These big guys are the greeters at Sea Life park Hawaii. They come up to you and you can pet them. It's very sweet.

Incredible pictures!! Really amazing, what a beautiful place to live with such dramatic scenery. Keep posting pics like these please, it is so interesting. And nice to see some sunshine, we are having typical Lake District summer weather today - its pouring down!!

aloha.... beautiful scenary...you are so lucky living in such beauty , hubby spent his first honeymoon in hawaii , he said it weas great ( never took me though!! sob sob)

I love the shot with the sea turtles too, its my wallpaper on my pc! They are very sweet but one time I was swimming in the ocean, fairly deep out there and I saw a dark shadow. Believe me I was almost scared out of my skin. Never thought I could swim so fast but, it was only a sea turtle!! I thought it was a shark.

Great pictures, your so lucky living there, it looks beautiful...............are we all invited for a hol?

Tell the hubby that its a wonderful time to holiday in Hawaii. It's summertime and the weather is beauuuuutiful!! He owes you one hawaiian honeymoon!! lol!
