This is a FAB thread! Feel free to revise for the 2009 edition...

German Shorthaired Pointer A teenage labrador - quite lanky with acne. A bit like 101-Dalmatians-Dogs, but probably cheaper. Also popular at country fairs. Old, khaki, rope sliplead comes attached.

C&D - any additions?!

In certain areas near me I know that......

A pitbull! = a Staffie

A Staffie = a Staffie x

If either owner wears a baseball cap = a numpty

Brilliant thread guys.

A Flat Coated Retriever
A black Golden Retriever or red setter. A posh dog who walks quietly at your side and looks great in a 4x4. Doesn't like mud and eating it's own poo as it's too posh for anything like that, is so posh all it can do is lok good and walk well at your side.

This is of course a subsection of the genus
Pointer
These are Assistance dogs for Hinterectuerly Challenged Country Bumpkins who live In the Sticks. These Peeps can`t talk proper so they has to carry whistles. The dogs are bred to teach them words by pointin at hinterestin stuff (bushes mostly) and the aforesaid village idiot, sorry, country person has to guess what they`re pointin at.
The German variety are specialised because they have been bred to find car keys in a field. Unfortunately they suffer from terrible Wind which leads to their `owners` shoutin `Away! Away!` a lot.
