route planners.....which one?

morning all,

i've just got directions from 4 route planners. the AA and RAC were identical, but multimap and google were totally different from the AA and RAC ones! there were roads on e one that werent on the others!!! how totally confusing . so who is the best and most reliable one? cheers

I've always gone with multimap, it seems reliable enough.

I've now got Sat nav in my car, so I tend to use that too (even if it does try to send me off into fields )

We've always gone for the AA route planner, and found it to be extremely reliable on timing and everything. I guess it's possible that the others just go on the most direct route, regardless of how good the roads are.

We use the AA Routeplanner and have found it really good both on timing and directions.

thanks everyone for your replies. just realised what has happened. the AA and RAC have taken me off one junction of the Mway and the other 2 route planners have taken me off the next junction!!! i've just printed a bigger map with both junctions so i can follow either, and just in case i get lost!!!!

I tend to use rac.co.uk - but have used aa and mapquest.

We used the RAC map - it got us all the way to Spain with no hitches, so must be good!
