'Ornamental' cabbage

I know that in the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter at all.
And I know that we all have different taste.
And I apologise in advance to anyone with a garden full......

.....but I hate those mauve or cream and green alleged 'ornamental' cabbage which are sold as providing attractive colour in the winter garden. I'd rather have bare earth!

Anybody else, or is it just me? (again )

I agree! I think they are awful! Some weeds (alot) look better than them!

Now I've just come back from the garden centre (for bonemeal) and people were buying these ornemental cabbages but I could not see what the appeal was thank God for the sanity of dogwebbers.

I always thought cabbage was for eating......or in my case for pushing around your plate for twenty minutes till your Mum tells you that you can leave it (I was 28 at the time)

I used to love the things, now I can't stand the sight of them.

I'm not sure what purpose they serve, other than looking crap
