Warning over festive treats for overweight pets

An animal charity is warning of the risk of feeding pets treats as it launches its annual fitness programme for overweight animals.

The PDSA has set up its own pet fitness club, as theBBC's Kevin Reide reports.

Oh, I know about this too well. My Nigredo is a big tub of lard. Diets, more exercise, nothing seems to help and his weight rises each time we see the vet. Certainly wouldn't be a good idea to give him tons of Christmas treats. That being said, no doubt he gets them anyway
