Beautiful poem Helena, now I have another lump in my throat

This was a poem I found on Rainbow Bridge when my horse died last year and it touched my heart enough to save it in his memory, and Steve's loss of his dear Abe has now also touched my heart enough for me to want to share it with him, in this so, so sad time. Only time will heal, as we all know from losing our beloved companions, and the pain can be so unbearable, that I hope he will find some comfort in reading all the wonderful tributes everybody has given Abe today. It should also remind us that we are truly honoured to be given the love and companionship of our beloved pets, and we must enjoy every minute they are in our care and care for them as we would ourselves. They are only sent here on loan for such a short period of time, for us to learn from them what we must, and when that is done, sadly, they have to be returned, we have no choice in the matter, but I for one, know they will be waiting to greet me again one day with big happy smiles on their faces and I hope so much I will be able to hug them all again one by one.

beautiful words and it so very sad, about sox and abe!!! Its really got to me because i know how it feels! and i hate that feeling, it broke my heart when my pup was PTS!!
