Ooh that's good of him. A bit of excitement for you not knowing what you're going to get. I've not got one yet - there is not really enough room to keep one out on the worktop.

I did have one a long time ago, then like others, made all my own bread by hand. But no time now and with the M.E energy is like gold dust and the oven costs so much to use. Sometimes he has to much but I cannot refuse as he might stop, so I give some away and I feed the ducks at Ross Castle. Also of course it helps with feeding the dogs

If you have time and energy , bread home made is grand

I'm thinking of getting one and a Panasonic SD-2500 seems to be the one. It makes loaves in 3 different sizes, has a timer and also makes Jam, Cakes and Pizza Dough too.
