Hi , I would advise you go to your vet as soon as possible and have an injection to prevent your bitch from producing puppies. Also have your bitch spayed so the same thing doesn't happen again.

the injection doesn't always work and there is a chance of having puppies with huge problems, give me more info on the breed and so on, people have been doing father/daughter matings for years, to some its in-breeding but to alot its linebreeding, would love more info.

don't be hasty weigh up your options

This thread was posted in March Yes breeders have been doing close matings such as father, daughter for along time. But Its now against KC rules. Also a newbie breeder shouldnt be doing such a close mating, such close matings need to be done by breeders with great experience of the breed and lines they are using. (not that im agreeing with such close matings being done)!

I agree should only be undertaken by serious breeders who know the pedigree lines inside out with any known faults.

Would like to hear the outcome of what happened, but the injection for stoping pups in my opinion can cause more trouble then needed.,

apologize didn't know the thread was so old

aw dont be sorry, Just thought I would point it out

we have had the injections once after a bitch of ours was mated on day 38!! we didnt know if the male was just trying his luck, but was not perpared to risk it. she didnt go on to have pups.
She had the Mesalin injection on day 3 after mating and day 5.
A trail suggested that only 5% of bitches that had the injection went on to have pups.
This injection also carries less side affects. 'according to my vet'.

I have a puppy(dog)(now a 12 years old) I had her at 8 weeks she is from a mother and son mating, I have nothen but problems from 2 years onwards, she a truly million dollar dog....... if I was to write a list it would go on for ever, here is a few off the top of my head....
Hip problems(her hips and legs are twisted) she can bearly walk dragging her back legs ,most of the time
Coat and skin probs(she as a condition call Atopy) NO Cure.
she is also small for her breed as well, also been told she may not live a full life to 15, Im atcully suprized she has lived untill 12.

I know I will never get inbred dog again, I know alot of breeders says there is nothen wrong with doing it but proof says all..............
