Thursday 27th June 2024

Morning all. Well where has the sun gone? Very overcast here this morning. The sun did try to come out around 5am ish but has now gone back to sleep. Hope you all had a good evening. I watched most of a film called The Big Country and will finish watching the rest today. I love a good western especially if the indians win. Anyway, there's that word again, have a good day everyone. Forgot to say I am also re-reading my set of Miss Read books. Love the way she used to write as sadly gone now.

Good morning Brenda. Hope Margaret makes it to you today. It is not so hot.

Pleased you had a good holiday Lynn and everyone enjoyed it too.

Poor dog Chris just hope it doesn't get hurt but then I expect she will blame the other dog

Yes where is the sun Bfrnda. It was shinning when I got up but not now. Teazle walked, washing done and on the line, large chest freezer defrosted, with the help of hot water as I have nowhere to put the food that is in it, and some lawn weed killer put round prt of the lawns. Now coffee time and a bit of me time

Take care everyone

Good Morning everyone,

Been brightish here today but as has been said overcast. Work this fine day. So thats my entertainment sorted. LOL = Customers.

Have watered the hanging and wall baskets and the geranium pot in the front. No washing to speak of so all good. Speaking to a friend yesterday her husabnd has been put on pallative care and is getting worse seems like a fight for everything. He was in for Chemo yesterday a "keep you going one" but was kept in as she said he is not well.

So may take her out tomorrow if she is up to it and of course if he is still in hospital. The offer will be made tonight, see where we go.

Brenda Will Margaret come over tody instead of yesterday or leave it till next week?

Sue Good luck with the chest freezer defrost. Enjoy your coffee.

To everyone else who pops on "Hello"

Right off to work shorlty.

Margaret is supposed to come today but I never know until she is on the bus. In her world of work and family I never know until then. I have been looking up an ornament I have of a John Hughes grog Bassett Hound Now all I need to know is how much it is worth. The sun has poked its nose out.

Morning brenda, Sue, Kazz and all to follow.
Sun dipping in and out here too. Some washing in the machine, sprayed the hose over my car to remove the dirt, bird poo and dead insects we collected from holiday and my drive to Essex yesterday.
Sort of cleaned the windows and have cleared the cobwebs in the porch not an easy task they stick to the brickwork.

Is there a special cobweb clearing broom ?

brenda hope you enjoy the rest of the film and that Margaret makes a visit.
Sue a busy morning for you (as usual). Enjoy the coffee and me time you desreve it.
Kazz hello, sorry to read about your friend's husband. I am sure she will appreciate the offer of a trip out if able.

Have a good day everybody.

update on yesterday

Most if not all of the day was spent decluttering stuff on the computer. loads of minor issues such as left hanging parts of programs not cleared. screen display off centre and needed corrrecting type of thing.
The answer was to restart windows11 but leaving files and foldes in place which one can easily do.
Computes have no logic and have to do everything step by step, consequently it takes hours to do. It then does miss out some programs that need reinstalling manually.
that took all day mainly waiting for the computer to do its thing.

Today eveything back computer wise as it should be, just a question of rejoining forums etc
