Well apparently agility is Roxies calling in life, she was brilliant.... so brilliant infact that next week we are joining the intermediate group!!!

She managed to do 4 jumps and a tunnel all one after the other 3 or 4 times without a problem. I need to work on my speed (lol) and my timing with the words but she was foot perfect.

Im soooooo proud!!

well done to you both. believe me, it's always us that make the mistakes. when i first started with Jeager, the trainer lady would say..." just leave Jeager with us.. he knows what to do. it's just his master that struggles!" glad she did well. well done Roxie.

Sounds like you both did well and enjoyed yourselves

When I started agility with my first dog, we attended the class that was run by the obedience club we were members of at the time. It was a good introduction and we both enjoyed it, but my competitive streak kicked in and looked into a competitive club. We had to do an assessment (passed) and then a further 6 weeks of 'obedience for agility' before we saw any equipment. We stayed with this club for 4-5yrs and loved the training. Said dog got us to large grade 3 and UKA Champ.
Now live in different area and have 2nd dog. She did obedience and at 12 months we started at a semi-competitive club. Put our name on a waiting list (once dog could do all equipment independantly) which operates similar to my old competitive club and after 6 month wait are now on a 8 weeks trial period.
Looking back the although enjoyable, the 'fun' class did no favours for my first dog in terms of teaching equipment safely and it meant lots of retraining to reach a level whereby we were competitive.

Agility is addictive
