Options Decided

Ok so my daughter is doing:
Food and Nutrition GCSE Level
BTEC Sport = 2 GCSE's
Geography
Photography
Core Subjects:
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
English
Maths
ICT

The school had Options evening and career's people there tonight,
So our local vets were there, they are a training practice and the college where she should be going was also there.

So to get into vet nursing and a college place she needs 5 GCSE's at grade c or above, her teacher's are quite confident that she is more than capable of getting them.
Maths
English
Science She is doing the 3 seperate all at GCSE level.

So fingers crossed now she gets what she needs.
If not she can do an Animal Course at the College which will also get her into vet nusing.

Sounds like a nice variety of choices. I hope she gets on well with them and achieves her goals

That sounds like a very sensible range of subjects, much more interesting choices than when I was at school.

Good luck to her!

Can you do vet nursing directly after school then now? you had to have A-Levels to train as a VN at the college I finished at before Uni.

You have to be 17 yrs but there are a few ways you can train, you can do it via a training practice and attend college, you can do it via uni and get a degree or if you fail to get your GCSE's you can do an animal course at college to get into a practice to train.
