Last year I paid for it to be done at our local chemist, because I am just below the age for it to be automatic and free. I think that it was around £9.

However, now that I have to use an inhaler I will have to enquire about the free version Either way, I WILL have it done; I have never had flu, and up until last year had never had the jab - now I will do it every year.

I had mine done at the doctors 10 days ago so it cost me nothing.

Same here. Wouldn't occur to me to have one to be honest.

It never occurred to me either, not for years. However, if one develops any sort of breathing problems then it is an absolute must.

Having cancer, the flu injection is a must...
I got a letter from my GP to make an appt to have it.
Went to collect a prescription today and make the appt, only to be told they have no vaccines in, and the earliest the *might* get them is 31st Oct!!!
What a joke!

Crikey, they might at least prioritise you and find you the nearest available surgery with some stocks

Thats awful Hev. If the doctor writes you a perscription you can pick one up at the pharmacy and take it round for them to do.
I get a letter from the doctors too telling me to go for it as I have to have it because of my COPD and heart problems.

I have just phoned my surgery to make appointment and the earliest I can get it done is Nov 2nd. I just need to keep my fingers crossed now and hope I don't get the flu before that. And I am on a priority list because I nearly lost my life last year, I was on life support in intensive care for 8 days. Due to respiratory and heart problems. Seems not enough vaccine to go around again.
