Thank you all. Had update from vet he is our of surgery they managed to re-rotate his stomach with no complications and all organs looked fine vet was happy with them.
We will get another later this evening from the overnight vet to let us know how he does once he starts coming round and if all is well overnight and tomorrow morning he will be coming home.

brenda your thoughts and everyone else's worked. Feeling much more settled but know we have to get through tonight.
