Is Germolene safe for dogs?

Can anyone tell me, is germolene is ok to use on dogs, my mini schnauzer keeps biting her tail, my mum put a tiny bit of germolene on it and since then Rosie seems unwell?

mmmmm, don't know I've used it before on one of my dog's itchy skin, Steve always swore by it for his dogs, but I suppose on how much (if any?) your dog has digested, or licked off? Did you keep an eye on him until it had sunk in then??????

Hi RosieLove,

Tail injuries can easily get infected - it may be that it has and therefore she is feeling under the weather because of that.

My advice would be to get the tail checked over by the vet just incase.

Hope she feels better soon,

Rachel

Have you had her anal glands checked recently? It's usually a sign when they're biting around that area, especially the tail? If you're going to the vets anyway to see if the sore is infected, might be worth mentioning it to him?
