Rocky keeps eating grass then...

Keeps eating grass and then later on brings up phlemy stuff - it's not 'sick' as theres none of his food in there. But dunno why he's doing it? I've heard they eat grass if their tummys upset?
Anyone with any ideas?

Yup, they eat it to enduce vomiting. Although I did read that it is because in a past life they did not have enough to eat and had to eat grass and it is just a habit now....honest I did read this.

Dogs do eat grass to induce vomiting and to aid digestion. They also eat grass just because they like it! They also tend to seek out medicinal weeds when they feel the need. You should make sure that your dog is not eating grass or weeds that have been sprayed with chemicals. They only downside is that long blades of grass tend to pass through in the same condition as they were ingested so sometimes one has to, umm (how to put this nicely?) assist with removal Up close and personal, the ultimate bonding experience perhaps?

Both of mine eat grass in a field we walk in. My OH said its because the field had manure on it last year so the grass tastes nice to the dogs. I think he was just trying to see if I was gullible or not
