Young dog kidney disease?

Ive been searching the web about my youngests strange smell. His breath and skin around his neck smell of urine hes recently been on antibiotics for his dry skin. All i find is that these are syptoms of kidney disease. Im scared now. Can a dog of only two really develop it? another trip to vets.
I've already lost a dog to this awful disease.

... could be an infection...diabetes or nothing...pop a urine sample into the vets to put ur mind at rest

I know how worried you must be. I too lost a greyhound to kidney disease last month, but those symptoms could be lots of things so don't think the worst. It's hard not to see symptoms of that dreadful disease in everything your dog does. I'm the same....every time my dogs do anything unusual I think "oh my god...kidney disease"!! It's unusual in a dog so young so remember that. Good luck....I hope the vet gives you good news xxx
