Been for my walk along the sand and watched a Little Egret catching stuff in the waters edge. Low tide, so funny watching it. Reminded me of Tyto jumping the wavelets.

daily walk done and now getting very sunny and hot here.I am waiting for a watch battery to arrive today so I can try and get my solar power watch working again. It is about 18 years old and stopped a few years back, the jewellers said it can't be repaired a couple of years back but I don't think they even tried, even claimed they sent it back to Citizen main repair centre.
Managed to get the back off and looks like not too hard a job to replace so going to have a go at doing it

Very very warm here, been to the drs with dad, he is getting referred to a specialist, should hear in 4-6 weeks
Good luck with the watch Barry, never heard of a solar powered watch before, you learn something new everyday

yes it is powered by light so never have to wind it up or anything. the battery that gets charged up (bit like a solar panal on a roof) can last around 15 years.
so new battery in and works fine again. I know this is charging up as when first put in the second hand jumps every 2 seconds, with a bit of charge then every second as it should do.
Just got to see over night when dark it is still going in the morning
I nearly slipped up as some batteries only charge up once and others the same make and model are rechargable by the light source

Good evening all

Nightmare eye injection, but least said, soonest mended. The eye is fine today.

Got a call to book my cateract op. Will be having it on the 29th if all goes well. Can't wait to be able to see again, even if only in one eye (hopefullly)

Lovely day here. Warm, but the breeze kept it bearable. The warmer weather is really helping Rosie's arthritis
