Evening all
Went to see Steve and Molly yesterday and then went to my aunties wedding do... it's my dad's brothers ex wife but she will always be my aunty and a part of my family and I was really touched they asked us to go, luckily she sees my dad as an entirely different entity to his family and brother. Mum was supposed to go instead of me but she's still not comfortable with going near a group, can't say I was but thought dad might feel awkward on his own. Saw my cousin's and met their relevent partners, apparently I was a huge hit with both. Told my new uncle to make sure he looks after my aunty and he said he would and why wouldn't he...I did say he seems like a decent guy and he assured me he is. My aunties dad is 84, he never ever ages and I absolutely adore him, he is so incredibly funny.
There was a picnic in one of the closes for the jubilee and people just went with garden umbrellas and a gazebo.... proper British, wouldn't let rain put them off, one of my mates dad's ...he is 80 odd turned up in his suit and dicky bow bless him
