grass!

dogs cant digest cellulose which the grass is made of,that is why it is hanging out of their bums. grass has simmilar effect on their digestion like on ours cabbage or sallad it sort of cleans their digestive system (intestines) by voluminize contents of what they ate it is just that we can digest it and the dogs cant. they use it also when they eat something bad (again in this case we usually use cammomille tea to make us "throw up") to clen themselves.

Jack never throws up after eting grass but he eats loads of it.
Pupa usually does throw up.

some dogs just enjoy eating it it does good to them

now, i interrogated my frind (who is a vet) abut this

Murphy eats loads of grass which is unusual 'cos he's raw fed and has loads of veggies.....in an attempt to fill him up! trouble is, he's a lab and if anything is edible, he will eat it. I don't bother anymore, 'cos it doesn't bother him. I only get a bit miffed when he does 'poo strings' and looks at me as if to say, "come on then, pull this bit of grass out of my butt"!! No way hosey, I tell himm and eventually, it disappears!

My dads 2 male dogs have the bum grass problem! Their 2 girls dont seem to. My girls eat quite a bit and throw up some of the time, but I have (fortunately) never had the bum problem!
