2 lbs is a brilliant loss Jackie

Don't aim for too much in any week, it's not sustainable, and you'll get disheartened when it doesn't come off, risking the temptation to pack it in altogether. People who lose more steadily keep it off for longer, and the only way to get to goal is to stick with it. 1-2lbs per week is a realistic aim, and as my leader pointed out this week, 2lbs per week would mean a 3 stone loss by Christmas.

Yeah, cut out all the "goodies", as I said earlier, I was 18st four years ago, it aint easy, but even a couple of stones loss makes a big difference. I'm now 13st 12lbs.

I was at the doc's a few months ago and he said " denis, you're an inspiration to us all, I'm 53yrs old, and you look younger than me ".

I walked out the surgery feeling 10 feet tall.

I have to say 13st 12lbs at 10ft tall is definitely anorexic lmao.

85lbs is 6st 1lb, and for someone who is 5ft 5in is well, well under a healthy weight.

It is a BMI of 14.1.

A healthy BMI is 25.

Quite right too! That's a hell of a weight loss, and you've kept it off too - brilliant

Thats what i worked it out to be as well. Defintiely very underweight if that is correct. I believe a healthy BMI is 22 - 26 but at 5'5, even if you weighed 8 stone at 5'5 you would be considered underweight.
At 5'5 a weight of 9 - 10 stone (depending on frame type) is an ideal weight. That is according to the BBC BMI chart. So at 5'2 i should weight between 8 and 9 stone depending on my body type. Now i know my body type is petite but curvey so on me 8 looks too skinny but 9 looks a bit too heavy so 8 and 1/2 is perfect on me!

If anyone else wants to have a look at their BMI the link to the BBC bmi calulator is below (hope i am allowed to post it!)
