Dog scoots bum and chews paws after touching grass

My 4year old chihuahua has had this issue for 1 day now and her vet is closed till Tuesday but she refuses to go outside on the grass it seems to irritate her paws and then she chews them and drags her bum, but only when she touches the grass. Someone told me that she may have worms again like she had around this time last year but her stool is still firm and not watery like last time. She was vaccinated last year but not sure how to help her till Tuesday she seems to be in pain I can't let her suffer, please anything would be better then to sit here guessing.

If your dog is fed dry food it is more than likely anal glands, although maybe she is also sensitive to grass if she is chewing her feet. Have you carried out routine worming since you found worms last year.

Worming and flea treatment (if she's not already had them) may help and would rule out a couple of things.

Bum scooting tends to be related to anal glands. To relieve the problem (if you don't know how to empty them), try holding a warm (not hot) cloth to her bum. It may give her some relief and if the problem isn't too bad can help enough for her to empty them next time she goes to the loo
