Our first rose

So we at our house kill tons of plants by accident. Don't have the green thumb at all. So I'm very happy my mother and I have an actual rose on our rosebush... Thought to take a pic before we kill it

Went from this scrawny plant:

To this flower, took friggin ages:

P.S.
Am loving my new camera, hard as fudge to use... but takes very good piccies when you're able to choose the right settings etc.

Thank you, Apache. Very happy about the flower. We never grow anything and try very hard each year.

Yay! Well done both of you! Xxx

I'm looking at this on my iPad. I read the first bit then scrolled down and looked that the picture, studying it for ages, thinking "where's this rose? I really can't see one, must be a tiny but" Then scrolled on and all became clear!

I'm a chucking it in the ground and hope for the best type of Gardner. I used to do fairly well but now any plant has to deal with the girls ripping bits off it to add to "soups" that they make in a huge bucket in the garden.....and Remus standing, chewing it, weeing and pooing on them.

What a beautiful rose that is.
The actual rose bush looks very healthy so whatever you are doing at the moment is obviously right for it

Thanks again, everyone. I hope it keeps growing and doesn't die. I'll be so happy since we kill most of our plants each year. But we try and grow flowers every single year despite that. The dogs also ruin them sometimes, like Catrin said.

Thanks a lot. with a name like Rosebud, I think the rose suits you well!! Nigredo is the main culprit, Jadey girl is a ton more careful and kept on a leash anyway.
