My goodness... someone help me. How on Earth do you burn boiling corn cobs?

NOT looking forward to trying to clean that pot tonight. Might just fling the entire thing... omggg.

Oh dear. My friend once told me she burnt a potato salad. For a minute I couldn't quite work out where the heat came into potato salad!

Thanks Eileen, will do. Also, Catrin... you can only burn potato salad while the potatoes are cooking.

If they are cooking for potato salad, you'd always naturally say you burned the potato salad because you ruined any chance of making it to begin with by "crispifying" the potatoes.

I like it, too. When it's not "extra crispy" like my poor corn

Many a pot I've reduced to that condition has gone to potty heaven without me even bothering to try to clean it! Well done. I've got a very artistic one somewhere of me managing to reduce a small pot of frozen peas to a similar state!

Tang... LOL!! Yeah I soaked the pot but it's still hard to clean so I think it's as much of a casualty here as the corn was.

Not to mention though I cleaned it as best as possible... it still has that burned smell like to it.

I can't clean that off and afraid it will get into other food (which probably will be burned black anyway).

I don't even know how I managed this. One second it was fine and the next... the smoke alarm went off
