Curtains advice - opinions please

In a dual aspect room with a window at one end and a patio door/window at the other, can you have different curtains on the windows?

We have a sort of creamy gold at the short window at the front and are having trouble getting the same ones for the patio that aren't marked. So what about a background creamy colour but with another colour else in it on the patio window, so the creamy colour is maintained?

Or is that a no-no in one room?

We have the same sort of layout In the process of buying new patio door curtains myself.
In my case the short window is part of the kitchen, has a wooden pelmet going across, have blinds up but no curtains.I like it like that
Think you're curtains being different will be fine
Bad form with the marks on the few you tried out

Not another pair marked
I think you should be putting in some sort of official complaint. What sort of mark is it?
That hasn't answered your question has it Difficult to say without seeing it.

Thought I'd show you
This is my kitchen window, think there is no need for curtains on this one Had them on here before and they were more hassle than they were worth, just took them down
Now just have them at the patio door which is further down and on the same wall
I'm guessing your window is different

Is that metal bars on your windows Lacey? If so they look wide enough spaced for skinny burglars to get through anyway.

As if you need any more house protection system than little Lacey lol!

Ahh I see it now, the vertical blinds were disguising the vertical bits of the frame.

Oddly I have just brought curtains for the back garden end of the living room I now have 90" long ones (no rad under window) the other end I have 54" ones because have a rad and rad cover under window. They are the same design though but no reason not to have something different on your big window make it a feature if your walls are plain (like mine) I have just brought flowery curtains if the walls were "BUSY" I would go plainer.

But as someone has said its your house have what you want I do.
