Oh Jenny, I am relieved that they are no worse this morning and will keep coming on to look for any more news during the day.

I am sure that with your loving care and the attentions of your vet they will soon be over this horrible time.

Lots of cuddles for you all xxxx

Hi when both of my dogs went down with a virus from green algae or Blue in the lake, the only thing that they kept down was Goats Milk and baby rusks, also the medicine from the vet, they were fine after five days and was allowed chicken and rice Gemini54

Thanks again for all the love and support ... it means a lot.

I spoke to the vet and he asked me to take them back in which I did (with the help from my son).

Flash has now been given two injections (antibiotics and anti-sickness) and he is of more concern at the moment as he is like a ragdoll and so depressed. Rucksack still isn't 'empty' and still has an incredibly noisy tummy so its possible he may haemorrhage again .... but hopefully nothing like last night. Rucksack is much quieter than normal but nothing like as depressed as Flash. I have also just given them the Antepsin tablet which should help line their insides and make them less painful. I'm to keep syringing a minimum of 20ml of water into them every hour to stop the dehydration which is still a big concern but at present neither are so its working.

Hopefully this has been nipped in the bud but it just shows that if you see more than a smear or so of blood in your dog's poo get him to the vet in case its what my two have.
