Thanks guys - the speed we have is around 8 - 10 Mb. Normally it's absolutely fine but the problem seems intermittent and has only been since we started using the Superhub - I think.

Could be you've gone over your bandwidth limit so they've throttled your speed back down for the remainder of the day... or could be the wireless channel's conflicting with something else locally (there's a programme called, I think, inSSIDer that will show what else is around and about you) - having said that - the neighbour's virgin hub seems to work on an obliterate all other frequencies setting!

Lucky Star.. we are in Biggleswade and have had to phone Virgin about 4 times now over the last few weeks. Apparently they are upgrading cables in the area.. and have given us £5 or so every times we complain. The last time we had no internet from Saturday to Monday.. they gave us £15 off that bill.
