As he is 18 weeks the research we have done has indicated not to worry too much about his legs yet. They have got much stronger and less outward pointing over past couple of weeks. We are waiting for the breeder to call back to discuss this, and our trainer has advised it's too soon to get him x rayed by our vet. Dam had hip score of 2/3 Sire 6/7.

I think many of the German showline dogs seem a bit wobbly on their hocks at that age, but it doesn't appear to cause any problems and they grow out of the wobbly stage, so I wouldn't worry.

They do now have longcoat classes I believe, as well as being able to show him at the various fun dog shows and White & Long Coat GSD Society shows.

Who is your pup's dam (mother)? I also have a Kazeti.

We wanted a Kazeti pup as my mother in law took one from one of their litter but there were no males left so Karen put us onto the deschline gsds who had just had a litter with her yoschi.

If you are worried about his hips you can have him Penn Hipped from 16 weeks onwards.

Young GSDs should not be walked for miles & miles this will(as with all puppies)damage the growth plates in the long bones of the legs. There exercise should be correlated to their age-as in 5 mins per month of age

Most breed clubs have Long coat classes now-the longcoat must have correct undercoat & correct construction
