Hi all.

Its been a while but i just havent been able to bring myself to come on here.

On 12th April I had Dutch put to sleep.

It was the hardest decision on my life and I cry for him every single day.

My dad did allow me to keep Dutch, but he was becoming more aggressive for no obvious reason. On a walk one day he went for a child. This child was walking past minding her own business and Dutch flipped, he didnt touch her but he scared me. He loved children and this was so out of character.
After speaking to my vet on several occassions we decided it was for the best.

I was with him on the last day. I held him in my arms and whispered how much i loved him and how sorry i was.
I replay that day in my head every night, he was the love of my life.

I first introduced Dutch to Dosgey when he was just 9 weeks old, and 2 years on i have to tell you all he's gone.
I know alot of you are going to call me every name under the sun for the decision i made but i know deep in my heart it was the right decision.

I love you Dutch, always have, always will.

I am so sorry to hear about Dutch.

I certainly won't condemn you and I don't feel others will after all we did not live with Dutch only the person living with and in charge of the dog is able to make the decision. I am sure you will of made the right one.

Run fre at the bridge Dutch.

I'm so sorry to read this. I hope with time it becomes easier for you to cope with losing him.

You lived with Dutch and knew him better than anyone, you thought it was the right choice and that is what matters. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for doing what you know was necessary.

I'm so sorry I can't imagine how difficult it must have been.
If he was showing such aggression towards children I can totally understand why you felt you had to have him pts.

RIP Dutch x

I am so sorry to hear you had to make such a difficult decision

Dutch was your dog, you loved him with all your heart and I have no doubt the decision you made was probably one of the hardest ones you will ever have to make I don't see how anyone can condemn you. You did what you thought was the responsible thing. I have no doubt it just hurts like hell.

Take care of yourself x

RIP Dutch.

I am sorry to hear this and it must have been extremely difficult to come on here and tell us all.

I am sure you did the right thing for HIM and others, which is the only thing anyone can reasonably be asked to do.

Take care
