2 more....

Well, we've ended up with 2 more kittens!

A regular came in my shop and asked if anyone had reported 2 kittens missing....they had been on waste land behind her house for 2 days, and she'd taken them in the night before as it was too cold.
She'd phoned all the vets/police, put posters up.....to hear nothing

She was asking if I knew a rescue she could take them to, as her dog was very unsettled with them, and all the ones she'd phoned were full.
I told her to bring them to me, and I would phone my friend who runs a rescue......

Well.....I brought them home instead.......CRAWLING with fleas...their fur was moving (James even had one in his eye)
I bathed them both in flea shampoo as their fur was matted with blood from the fleas.
We also had to shave a few patches on them as they have sores on their back
OH and I spent 1 1/2 hours sat on the bathroom floor last night after bathing them, frontlining them........we then hand picked off as many fleas as possible!
Gave them a good meal, some kitten milk, and settled them down in the cat room.

Our work paid off, as this morning there was no live fleas on them! I bathed them again just to make sure, and we've started a slow introduction to our lot!

So welcome Josh(Ginger) and James(Tabby)!

Oh Heather, aren't they just gorgeous? I'm sure their fate would have been sealed, had you not stepped in......

You are an angel. However, it perhaps wasn't a good idea to bathe them again the next day after putting front line on them? Just that I've always been told you should wait 2 days after a bath and 2 days after front line before giving a bath.

However, I wouldn't apply it again yet on kittens that look so young (tho it's hard to tell from the pics how old they are).

I know it washes it off, but they need washing every day anyway due to their wounds.
It's only the spray stuff, so easy enough to put back on when we need to!
Don't worry, didn't put anymore on though!
They are about 10 weeks old.
Next job is to get some worming stuff tomorrow and sort their bellies out!

Oh well done, you are now equal with us - cats grow on you . You shouldn't have any problems with all of them being so young. Can you get hold of a Feliway diffuser? I swear by them

Gorgeous babies
