Waiting for the black to swell up :(

So this morning, my alarm goes off at stupid o'clock and I lean over to turn it off, forget that I cannot see in the dark as I am only human and instead of hitting the shut up button - I knock my phone on the floor and think Greaaaaat! So lean over the side of the bed to get that and smash my eye socket (cheek bone bit) on the bedside table!

I'm just waiting for the colour to come up now, if it even does - it really hurts!

Stupid bedside table!

Meanwhile OH was just giggling - he'd woken up at my alarm and heard me shout at the table. He's only laughing because last year we stayed in a B&B and I was pulling the quilt over me - them heavy ones that fall off all the time - and he'd turned round and my knuckle collided with his face - so he had a black eye.. he says the table was Karma!

Ouch!!! do you have any arnica cream - slap a load on that will help with the swelling and reduce any colour x

So guess you are well awake now!

I once dropped my phone of the bedside table, and smashed my forehead on the corner of it. It like someone had stuck a purple golf ball on my head!

Is anyone old enough to remember the big, heavy, black bakelite telephones?

I once dropped one and it landed, corned first, on my left foot big toe-nail.

And I screamed and I screamed and I screamed all the way to the hospital and carried on screaming until a nice doctor in the ER stuck a thingy which had been heated to red hot into the nail, burning a hole through it...

...and all the build up of pressure was released.

W h o o s h.

Phew. Instant relief.

And instant silence!

I would like a quid for every one of those I've done. I found that a paperclip, heated to red hot worked best. It makes a bigger hole to allow more blood out
