I now have to take tablets when I feel the symptoms coming on and so far not had quite as bad reactions.

Hope she gets better soon xx
Oh my Kate poor you, it does sound very similar. I hope you have made a full recovery.

Not nice at the time, about 4 years ago when I was 16/17. I still have relapses every now and then, but because I know what it is, I do recover quite quickly and it doesnt panic me like it used to.

I hope your daughter-in-law doesnt have any long term effects from this, although it does seem aweful when it happens, but she is relatively young and hopfully they wont find its a stroke, perhaps she is just under stress from work? One thing they say causes migraines, which can take many forms, some which seem like strokes.

I will keep my fingers crossed for good news xx

How frightening, I hope it turns out to be nothing as serious as a stroke.

Hi Jenny

Hope your daughter in law goes on okay at the hospital today, and hope that what they diagnose can have a relatively comfortable recovery.

Good Luck x

Thanks everyone.
I haven't heard anything more yet. I don't want to ring them, they had such a dreadful day yesterday that they might be having a lie-in.
I have sent a text then they can contact me when they are ready.
It's comforting to have you all thinking of us xx

Well Amanda went back to hospital today, more assessments, more bloods and an MRI scan.
She is now awaiting a phone call with the results.
She has a muzzy head and I think her mouth is still down on one side.
All we can do is wait and see
