First solo song

As some people already know (and many probably do not ) I have been singing with my dad's band Stormcrow since I was fourteen.
I've also been writing my own songs for a long time, although never with the intention of sharing them with anyone - I don't even play my guitar in public, much less sing my own songs! Last week, I was driving home and a song magically popped into my head and demanded to be written, so I literally got out of the car and scribbled down the lyrics as soon as I was in the house. The following evening, I thought I would have a play around with the music myself to give me an idea of what I wanted before taking it to my dad and asking him to do it for me but the music was just there and the whole song came together in about fifteen minutes.

I'm so proud of it, as it's the first song I've written both the words and music to that I've been completely happy with, and I thought I would inflict it on all of you!
I'm hoping that it will be getting its debut performance on Thursday at an open acoustic night.
