Snap. Mine was blue too and the single I bought for it was Good Golly Miss Molly ..... The Swingin' Blue Jeans.
I remember going into the town with my mum to buy the record player and buying my own single, but I wasn't even allowed to touch it 'til dad came in at night and read the instructions Mum was upset because it had no needles with it
